INDUSTRIAL CHROME AND NICKEL PLATING SPECIALISTS

Hi-Tech Plating's electroless nickel is a nickel-phosphorous alloy.  Using no electrical current, the nickel produces a uniform coating with complete thickness control.  The resultant coating is uniform, hard, and highly protective to the base material.

Electroless nickel is commonly requested for it's excellent corrosion and wear resistant properties.  It is easily applied over aluminum, allowing for a solderable surface.  Nickel has natural lubricity properties, allowing for part release on molds and dies, and is exceptionally bright which creates a self-polishing effect in molding operations. Selective plating is often requested as well as build-up to repair parts with a maximum plating amount of .008" per surface.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Complete uniformity and controlled plating thickness
  • Available in 50 Rc and 63 Rc
  • Superior chemical and atmosphere corrosion resistance
  • Wear resistance with natural lubricity properties
  • Exceptional brightness and easily polished
  • Minimal thickness of .000010" on tight tolerance parts
  • Stack dimension plating
  • Build-up maximum of .008" per surface on repair and salvage parts
  • Easily stripped from base material without harming substrate
