​Nickel boron nitride is an electroless nickel solution co-deposited with ceramic particles (90 Rc boron nitride). This coating reduces wear and corrosion on valuable tools, dramatically improves release properties of molds and dies, and greatly reduces galling.  This plating provides a uniform deposit with complete thickness control.  


Nickel boron nitride is harder than nickel teflon and can withstand temperatures up to 880 degrees C, whereas, nickel teflon breaks down at 300 degrees C.  It has a lower co-efficient of friction (.05 as compared to nickel teflon's .10), making it a superior option for a hard uniform coating with outstanding release properties.
